In case you hadn’t noticed, Alexander & James dominated the sofa scene in 2017 with a tonne of new collections in every style and colour imaginable. From luxurious deep seated pillow backs with fabulous rolling arms to statement pieces with all-over buttoning, there’s something to suit everybody’s style.

We can’t wait to see what fantastic designs they’ll reveal in 2018 but whilst we wait, here’s a quick overview of the brand and their collections to date.

Who are Alexander & James?

Artistic Director, Mark (Alexander) Smith and Managing Director, David (James) Lee are the founders of the brand. They still play a crucial role in every aspect of the business today.

Mark is a creative furniture designer with a passion for comfort. He gets his inspiration from the countries he visits and the cultures he immerses himself within. David is the numbers guy who loves to get lost in a spreadsheet as much as he loves exploring the Worcestershire countryside with his wife and two children. Together they have created an upholstery brand that builds upon years of expert knowledge with a fashionable twist.
